Job Description

This position provides direction, leadership and day-to-day management of educational and departmental activities to include administrative support to the Residency Training Program Director, and educational coordination between attending physicians,, residents, medical students and institutional and regulatory administrative offices. The Program Coordinator will coordinate program activities, such as receiving and assisting recruiting residents, interviews with faculty, coordinate educational functions of the program, responsible for the organization and facilitation of program didactic, coordinate residents rotations, clinic hours and/or schedules, document ongoing resident training and completion of training, coordinate lodging reservations, conferences, and any other Program events under the directive of the Program Director.

  • Assist Residents with orientation, rotation, trainings, testing activities, graduation activities, etc.

 

  • Responsible to create, prepare, and maintain the data system management of program, including the reports submitted to the National agencies. Manage and coordinate program logistics.

 

  • Assist with the coordination of Psychiatric Resident in Training Examination, Board Exam and other educational activities.

 

  • Updates all program components/program; monitor residents evaluations, supervision and training courses; verifies completion of education for certificate preparation and board eligibility, as needed.

 

  • Acts as liaison with outside agencies and outside rotation site personnel and internal program sites.

 

  • Work collaborative with the Human Resources Department during the hiring process.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Health Services Administration, or related field.
  • Must be literate in Windows applications, Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Experience with residency programs, helpful.
  • Two years of office work experience, preferred
  • Strong Interpersonal, organizational and office skills.
